Mission

The mission of the University Evening College is to help prepare outstanding students, quality scholars and help them develop skillful personality. This involves innovative, responsive and sustainable lifelong learning and skills opportunities.  The college seeks to develop in students of all backgrounds the capacity to learn, reflect,  reason, communicate, and act with integrity as individuals and in association with others.  It seeks to prepares men and women for advanced study and continuous learning, individual achievement, and leadership and service for the common good. The mission is tune with the goal of education for all. Students belonging to all streams of society study in the college. It intends to enhance the commitment of faculty, staff, and students to the centrality of diversity, social justice, and democratic citizenship. It proposes to sustain a caring, supportive climate throughout the college. On administrative side, the college encourages the effective and efficient management of the college. It believes in value-based education to the students to achieve academic excellence and integrity of teaching and service. The long-term plan of the college is to achieve individual and collective excellence; diversity, equity, and social justice; education of individuals across the life span. The overall achievement of the college is based on the following beliefs:
